Robotics - De-palletizing

ALPHA681

ALPHA681

Alpha681 is Solema first robotic arm application. This tool has been developed with the aim of automatically de-palletising pallets of softcover books, hardcover books or even sewn book blocks.

The Alpha681 robotic arm tool picks up one row of pile at a time from the pallet to de-palletise the products on a pallet. Once the row of products has been picked up, the tool can place the books on a roller conveyor and feed the production line. Row after row, Alpha681 empties the pallet one layer at a time. The suction cups remove the slipsheets which gradually become free, letting them fall delicately into the slipsheet deposit site.

The extreme accuracy of the gripping movements and the air cushioning system guarantee the utmost care when handling the products.
